Dr Karen Hughes
Dentist, Owner
Dr. Hughes has been the owner of Hughes Family Dental for over 18 years. She went to University of Louisville for Undergraduate and Dental School. Her favorite parts of dentistry are changing people’s lives by improving their smiles, and making dental-phobic patients comfortable with treatment.
Trisha
Office Manager
Trisha has been in dentistry for 21 years. She is married to Mark and they share two daughters, Ashley and Emily, who are both in college. Trisha enjoys volunteering with the Mt. Washington Lioness Club, benefitting our community. She also enjoys going to the lake and other outdoor activities.
Bettina
Administrative Office Assistant & Marketing Coordinator
Bettina worked in Journalism and Public Relations for 28 years and then in dentistry for the last five years. She has been married to her husband Joe for more than 30 years, has 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters. Bettina has also had a furniture refurbishing business for the last 11 years.
Donna
Dental Hygienist
Donna has been in the dental field for 40 years. Her favorite part of dentistry is the friendships formed over the years with patients and teammates, as well as the flexibility of the schedule. Her interests are travel, music, getting out in nature, and dining out at restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
Madeline
Dental Hygienist
Madeline has been a registered dental hygienist for 10 years. She went to University of Louisville Dental Hygiene School. Her favorite parts of dentistry are getting to know the patients on a personal level, and seeing people smile after a good dental visit. Her hobbies include camping, hiking, cooking, and crafts. She spends her time with her husband, Alex, and her two adorable boys.
Sherry
Dental Hygienist
Sherry has been in the dental field since 1990. Her favorite part of dentistry is the people she’s met, both patients and co-workers. She loves the special bond created with patients she has cared for. Her hobbies include boating, camping, hiking, and fishing. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter Natalie and stepdaughter Savannah.
Katie
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Katie has been a dental assistant for 17 years. She loves helping people achieve their dream smile and seeing their first reaction upon seeing their new smile. Her favorite hobby is being a wife and mother. Her family includes husband Derik and 2 daughters Brylee and Aria.
Rachelle
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Rachelle has been a dental assistant for over 20 years. She loves being able to help people smile after dental work. Her hobbies include walking, crafts, taking care of her kitties, and she is a huge University of Kentucky fan. She loves spending time with her family -husband Kyle, and children Peyton and Landon.
Shania
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Shania has been in dentistry almost 4 years. Her favorite part of dentistry is the variety of patients she gets to work with, both older and young. Her hobbies include hiking, spending time outdoors, crafts, and spending time with her 5 year old daughter. She was born and raised in Mount Washington, and says she is blessed to raise her daughter in the same small town.
