What are cosmetic veneers? That’s a question I’m frequently asked, and is my favorite procedure to perform because it can be life-changing for the patient.
Veneers are thin porcelain “shell” coverings that are permanently bonded to the front of teeth to achieve a beautiful smile. We can achieve subtle or major changes in the smile with veneers. The painless process involves removing a small portion from the front of the tooth, obtaining an impression, fabricating temporary veneers (worn for 2 weeks), and then later cementing the permanent veneers. All of this is completed in just two easy office visits.
These are some of the common problems fixed with porcelain veneers:
Spaces between teeth
Broken or chipped teeth
Unsightly, stained or discolored teeth
Crooked or misshapen teeth
Here is one of my favorite patients. He suffered from unsightly tetracycline stain since he was a child, and hid his smile from everyone. There were also several old discolored fillings and several teeth were crooked/crowded. We were able to fix all of these issues with upper and lower cosmetic veneers/crowns. This patient loves his new smile!

Here is another patient that only complained of her single front tooth being discolored from an injury. We cosmetically whitened all of her teeth and performed one porcelain veneer on her front tooth. She also had our short-term braces on her lower teeth to fix crowding, called Six Month Smiles.
